Bill Harrigan gives Gorden Tallis his marching orders.
As far as outspoken characters go, Gorden Tallis and Bill Harrigan are right up there.
The duo famously butted heads in the first game since the turn of the century when referee Harrigan ignored two possible knock-ons in the build up to a long range try eventually scored by Ryan Girdler. Tallis stormed over to Harrigan, labeling him a “f***ing cheat” Harrigan initially signaled to sin bin the Maroons forward but as tensions escalated, proceeded to march him from the field. Game 1, 2000.
