The NSWRLRA would like to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Luke Patten and Ben Galea whom this weekend reach 350 games and 250 games respectively as Video Review Officials.
Luke made his debut as a video referee in 2013 in Rd 1 when the Bulldogs played the Cowboys and Ben debuted the following year in Rd 1 of 2014 when the Sharks played the Titans.
Fellow NRL referee Henry Perenara says that “These two can be seen in the bunker for anywhere between 3-5 games per weekend so it’s no wonder they have clocked this up so quickly!! Being in the high pressure environment that is the bunker, it can be very daunting, but these two handle it with poise and ease. Both are quality people and every on field member of the squad are extremely grateful for the input these two both provide to our squad.
