Retirement- David Ryan NSW #933 NRL #118

After starting his refereeing career in 2002 in Penrith, David Ryan has announced his retirement from the game. David has had an amazing career that he should be extremely proud of!

Started in Penrith in 2002

Officiated in 2 consecutive A Grade Div 1 Grand Finals

Graded in 2008 as NSWRLRA number 933

Officiated in:

2009 U16 NSW v Qld

2011 U18 NSW v Qld as well as U18’s Australia v Great Britain

2009 & 2011 NSW Cup GF’s

2012 Toyota Cup Grand Final

 

Debuted in NRL in Round 25 of 2011 season as NRL number 118, Canberra Raiders v Penrith Panthers at Canberra Stadium won 19 – 18 by Penrith with Brett Suttor, Gavin Reynolds and Jason Walsh

Officiated in 2016 Holden Cup Grand Final

Have officiated in 118 games (same as his NRL number… No one else has done that!)

Last game was round 26 2017 Wests Tigers v New Zealand Warriors at Leichhardt Oval won 28 – 16 by Wests Tigers with Adam Gee, Peter Gough and Phil Henderson
