“STAY KIND” – ANZ Stadium July 23, 2017

Full kudos to the Parramatta Referees association for leading the way within the Refereeing family for the “STAY KIND” initiative.

3,027 people ended their own lives in Australia In 2015. That’s 8 people every day or 1 person every 3 hours.

Ralph and Kathy Kelly are the parents to Thomas, Madeleine and Stuart.

Thomas was murdered with an alcohol fueled 1 punch act. Not long afterwards Stuart took his own life. Both of the boys had everything to live for and their deaths were for nothing.

Ralph began The Thomas Kelly Foundation to raise suicide awareness and to send the message that it’s OK NOT TO BE OK.

The NSW Referees Association is truly humbled by Parramatta Referees and their efforts to support the foundation and raise suicide awareness.

We can and need to get behind them in any way possible.

The NRL has dedicated the July, 23 Round 20 Parramatta Eels v Wests Tigers clash to the “STAY KIND” initiative and to the Kelly family. The game is at ANZ Stadium with a 4pm kick-off.

All players will wear ‘SK’ on their match jerseys. Stuart’s initials.

We can support Parramatta Referees in many ways. Buy going to the game, by donating, volunteering and by spreading the word. Even a simple message of encouragement and support goes a long way.

Take 5 minutes to Share, Like, Retweet, Re-post on all social media platforms all that Parramatta have done and continue to do. Share this story off our Facebook page, Twitter Account and Instagram.
