The Chairman of the New South Wales Referees Association Mr Paul Simpkins made an announcement at the 2017 Junior Representative Squad Presentation Evening.
Paul announced that the Grand Final Referee trophy of the Tarsha Gale Cup Competition would be named the “Frank Leonard Perpetual Trophy.”
Franks service and dedication to refereeing has been outstanding and naming an award in his name was fitting and thoroughly deserved.
The recipient of the inaugural Frank Leonard Perpetual Trophy was Dillan Wells from the Penrith Rugby League Referees Association.
